JODI CAROL HARRISON

In 2011 Jodi directed her first short Billie Speare. Wanting to open the industry up to the transgender acting community she put out a breakdown for a transgender actor to play the role of the teacher. The short was screened at film festivals around the globe including the prestigious LACMA International Children’s Film Festival in 2012. Recognizing Jodi’s directing talents, the film burgeoned a nomination in 2013 for Best Teen Actor Award. In 2020 she directed a documentary, I’m Gonna Sing Granada for You, taking home the Audience Award and an Honorable Mention for Best Documentary at SENE Fest. She is currently focusing on her love for directing. Jodi’s imagination is a waterfall, a constant flow for projects, all with the subtle underlying view of not to judge people for what you think they are. Which brings us to the recent 13-minute short Apple Cider Vinegar, a “funtastic” journey about a mechanic and a doctor falling in love.

Jodi is a cheerleader at heart with a loyalty for her relationships. Jodi has a wondrous look at life, making sure each project reflects that in some unique way.
